In our 10th issue of DUETDUET, we offer 6 poems by Margaret Saigh and 5 pieces by Rose Swartz, upside down or right side up depending on how you hold it. “Meet me in the Badlands, he said, I have twelve hits of acid”—these poems grow infinite rows of teeth to gnaw at our strange, made up language. Saigh entreats you to think about the sharp and soft edges that come with the sore mundanity of aging, while Schwartz invites us to stand as silently as lilacs “in the weird blue light of the morning”.
